CSoft (Consistent Software) launches the Geo Edition of WiseImage X Pro

3 April 2006. Lillestrøm, Norway. CSoft (Consistent Software), the world's leading raster-vector graphics software developer, today announced the release of WiseImage Pro X Geo Edition.

WiseImage Pro X Geo Edition is a standalone application targeted for the cadastral and GIS-related market. The WiseImage Pro X Geo Edition is based on the new WiseImage X generation of company's flagship raster drawing editing and raster-to-vector conversion solution.

The application has advanced tools for handling maps, a unique raster to vector conversion technology and support for VBS and JavaScript. WiseImage Pro X Geo Edition is targeted for users of many different applications, such as cadastral, GIS, infrastructure planning, land development, land survey, geology and more.

Vertical development has been done with the goal of solving major roadblocks and problems experienced by customers in the GEO/GIS industry dealing with legacy drawings. The customer interaction in the development of WiseImage Pro X Geo Edition is unique and shows how efficiently CSoft can react to market demands.

WiseImage Pro X Geo Edition has ability to create any number and type of Custom Coordinate Systems. It inherited Intelligent Objects Selection and separation tools from WiseImage X platform. Its image calibration by full or incomplete grid or by a set of arbitrary points fulfills any customer demands for image adjustment. Set of special tools targeted for cadastral and GIS tasks at the fingertips of advanced users. There are Adaptive Blur tool designed for blurring non-uniform color areas inside the color transition boundaries of the image; R2V Colour Conversion command intended for recognition of the linear objects on the colour schematic raster images (topographical and contour maps, plans, schemes); Automatic or semi-automatic recognition of polygons and contours in raster imagery; Special function for automatic conversion of raster parcels to closed polylines and many others.

WiseImage Pro X Geo Edition goes beyond the limitations of previous version and adds some extremely powerful features to its toolbox:

  • Implementing possibility for working with raster images up to 16 million pixels width and 2 thousand of million pixels height.
  • Completely redesigned Scanning module with direct support for Contex, Graphtec and Colortrac SmartLF scanners.
  • Symbol Recognition Template Library (SRTL) - a single source for symbol templates that can be used for symbol tracing, raster to vector conversion, hybrid selection and Search & Replace.
  • The improved Polyline editing mode with multiple segments and nodes selection and operations.
  • The Command Line for fast and convenient execution of WiseImage commands and precise drafting with on-line calculator with a wide set of math expressions, trigonometry functions, logical operations, with command aliases and interactive keywords.
  • The Image Transparency option for monochrome, grayscale and color raster images.
  • JPEG 2000 format support
  • Improved MapInfo and ESRI shape-format export.
