Royal Dutch Army
The Dutch Army needs to draw camouflage patterns on their vehicles. After designing a pattern they need to be able to place a photo as a background of the image, and only then is it possible to decide how the selected camouflage pattern hides the vehicle in the forest.
Initial technology required a lot of repetitive and time-consuming operations. First they had to paint the camouflage pattern of the vehicle and then place the vehicle in the forest background. Secondly, if they were not satisfied with the result they had to repaint the pattern again and again. Then when the pattern finally worked, they still had to make one last drawing.
WiseImage perfectly solved this problem, saving a lot of time and money. Now they just make the prototype in the computer whilst finalizing the new pattern at the same time, witch removes the task of painting and re-painting the vehicle.
The Royal Dutch Army has chosen WiseImage due to the fact that scanned drawings of vehicles can be acquired directly, photos can be implemented as backgrounds and that vector layers can be created on top of the photo.
Moreover WiseImage gives the possibility to calculate different coloured areas in patterns. Now the camouflage contains the right mix of the correct colours.
