Belgacom

Belgacom, from the early beginning, was faced the problem of making their work with cable drawings more intelligent and sophisticated.

They wanted to be able to update their cable drawings; especially focussed on the task of preparing licenses and corresponding drawings for cables installation (digging) and be able to make changes afterwards.

Belgacom bought 126 licences of WiseImage V for AutoCAD mono, and now they can easily do all required operations.

The main reasons why Belgacom decided to choose Consistent Software WiseImage as opposed to other competitive products was the following:

  • WiseImage was the only package that recognises objects
  • WiseImage has perfect Vector to Raster capability
  • Consistent Software provides excellent support on the WiseImage

Moreover, with WiseImage it is possible to select raster entities with one click, trace raster lines and polylines (with the intelligent line following technology) and calculate the dimensions. Also, adding a little LISP, made it possible to make offsets of the lines (cables).

Belgacom also observed that WiseImage works perfectly with AutoCAD.
