Consistent Software Announces WiseImage 6.0 for Windows

Consistent Software, the worlds leading raster-vector graphics software developer, today announced the release of WiseImage 6.0 for Windows.
WiseImage 6.0 is a revolutionary solution for various industries and users, which focus not only on 2D new design but also on restoration, updating and distributing drawings in raster format. Intelligent raster editing tools give possibility to create and update raster-vector drawings in the same manner as in traditional CAD package. WiseImage 6.0 provides a surprisingly diverse functionality for color, grayscale and monochrome images. Full multi page file support, new selection engine, Windows XP style customizable interface and open architecture of the software make the new WiseImage package even more attractive, not only for raster-to-vector software, but for general 2D CAD users as well.

What's new in WiseImage 6.0 for Windows
Interface
- New Toolbars. Windows-XP style toolbars, sizable and user-defined buttons makes interface friendly and convenient to the user.
- New Dialog Boxes and Palettes. Dialog boxes and palettes can be set semi-transparent.
- Layer Management Operations. The wide range of layer management options is now accessible directly from the properties toolbar and Inspector.
- Multiple Preview Windows. It is possible to open several preview windows at a time, during any image enhancement procedure.
- Explore function. Mini browser implemented in version 6.0 meets the requirements for file operations within WiseImage for every exacting user. It gives all possibilities to operate with files and folders presented in Windows Explorer.
Vector Drawing
- New Vector Entities. Ellipse and elliptic arcs. Now it is possible to draw and edit ellipses and elliptic arcs.
- Special Text Symbols Insertion. In WiseImage 6.0 user can easily add special symbols to text (i.e. degree symbol etc.) from pull down menu, without bothering searching on how to insert a special symbol.
- Hyperlink Insertion. This option allows you to assign a hyperlink to any object.
- Line Style Manager. Various line styles can now be freely created and managed within Line Style Manager window.
- Block Attributes (with text recognition and editing). Attributes in blocks revolutionary ease the block management and collaboration with existing CAD formats.
Raster Editing Tools
- Adaptive Binarization. Adaptive Binarization tool eases the conversion of scanned Grayscale images with difficult background. This brand new tool makes the workflow while operating with drawings and sketches on a rough colored background (i.e. blueprints and sepias) fast and easy.
- Color Classifier. Color Classifier allows editing of the original indexed image palette and tuning it to meet all customers' demands or corporate standards.
- Gamma Correction. To the major list of raster editing tools and filters there is added a Gamma Correction Tool, allowing the wide range of operations with a Gamma curve of a raster image or its selected part.
File Management
- Performance TIFF Options. In WiseImage 6.0 various TIFF file format options can be freely managed. The different settings can be set up separately for various TIFF types.
- Custom File Format List. It is possible to remove unused file formats from Open/Save dialog or add Custom user formats. User may now create his own standards and settings for file compression and storage tools for a better productivity depending on user demands.
- LizardTech MrSID and PDF File Format Support.
- File Operations over Internet. Requested files can be modified and uploaded to the designated path over the Internet, directly from the requested Internet location.
New Selection and Conversion Tools
- New Selection Methods. The brand new selection engine, called WiseObject selection tool, is added with a new toolbar. This tool allows you to select all text areas and hatches, as well as speckles and linear objects, with this new advanced method.
- Semi-transparent Selection. Semi-transparent visualization mode option during selection is implemented and firstly integrated for user convenience and mostly performed on operations that require a better precision.
- External OCR Support. From now on WiseImage can collaborate with external OCR systems and export information to perform and save it using external OCR formats.
- New R2V Conversion Toolbar. This new R2V Conversion toolbar allows user to tune up conversion options on-the-fly without digging in Conversion Options Tab. This gives user an ability to manage main R2V settings immediately.
Other Features
- Powerful Coordinate System. From now on you may use and define multiple named User Coordinate Systems as well as World Coordinate System while navigating within your document, and freely switch between all the coordinate systems you are working with.
- Open Architecture. This version becomes a revolutionary breakthrough in the ability to use the WiseImage Open Architecture and ActiveX technology in automation and scripting tools. The Java script and VB script editor studio is now added so that scripts and procedures can be freely created and modified. Moreover, for more user convenience the visual HTML-form Editor Wizard is added. This wizard easily allows the integration of user commands and forms in scripts. Scripting is a powerful tool. Various customer's demands can be accomplished using built-in scripting features.
