The new version of PlanTracer supports 64bit AutoCAD

05 July, 2011. Lillestrøm, Norway. CSoft AS, the world`s leading raster-vector graphics software developer, today announced the release of PlanTracer 5 for AutoCAD 2012

PlanTracer 5 is an ObjectARX AutoCAD application. It converts legacy drawings to models and provides the shortest way from paper to IFC models and BIM systems. PlanTracer 5 delivers advanced tools for floor plan drawing and editing in addition to AutoCAD?s tools. Floor plans created using PlanTracer 5 are parametric models consisting of intelligent objects.

PlanTracer 5 can be used as a graphical front-end for Facilities Management solution or as all-in-one FM solution. It improves floor plan data extraction workflow. PlanTracer 5 provides an open API to the internal data structures of floor plan models for easy integration with Facilities Management applications, databases and MS Office.

PlanTracer 5 features:

  • Creation of floor plans models directly from 2D-CAD drawings and raster images
  • Advanced tools to draw new, redraw and modify existing floor plans
  • Extendable and manageable Template Library of intelligent objects (Walls, Doors, Windows, Stairs, Columns and etc.)
  • Special tools for Facility Management engineers for management and modification of existing floor plans
  • Adjustable classifiers and smooth data exchange due to application-independent data structure that allows users to maintain proper facility standards
  • Floor plan and FM data exchange via IFC and XML import and export
  • API for access to internal data structures of floor plan models

PlanTracer 5 for AutoCAD has more than 40 new features. Most of them are related to the Facilities Management part of PlanTracer. Among them are:

  • AutoCAD 2012 and 64bit support
  • Reading and recognition of the blocks and their attributes;
  • Changes in Templates library, Objects Manager;
  • Extended Export / Import functions;
  • Fine-tuned settings;
  • Massive changes in the floor plan creation and processing commands;
  • New commands and new Drawing Objects;
  • Improved Attributes management;
  • Changes in Walls and Wall Modifiers;
  • Rewritten Tag management.
