CSoft Upgrades WiseImage 11 to 11.1

10 Feb, 2009. Lillestrøm, Norway. CSoft AS, the world`s leading raster-vector graphics software developer, today announced the upgrade of WiseImage 11 to 11.1

WiseImage 11.1 became closer to CAD then any other image processing and raster-to-vector conversion application ever

WiseImage 11 has become the perfect combination of a 2D CAD package including an image processing application and a platform for a rapidly increasing number of vertical applications. It blends raster and vector, productivity and precision, CAD functionality and image processing capabilities perfectly in just one cost-effective application.

WiseImage 11.1 update is focused on improvement of vector part of the WiseImage engine. The main reason for its launch is the requirement for better vector processing and DWG compatibility in all stand-alone versions of WiseImage (WiseImage Lite, WiseImage, WiseImage Pro) as well as Wise-verticals (e.g. WiseImage FM).

New features of WiseImage 11.1

File formats improvement

  • DWG format compatibility.
    It was the main reason for the 11.1 update. Processing of the DWG-file content and consequently import/export to/from DWG were improved.
  • Backup and recovering.
    WiseImage 11.1 generates backup copy of current document right before save to a file.

Objects improvements

Dimension object was improved.

  • Dimension styles. WiseImage 11.1 dimension objects inherit values of their parameters from dimension styles. Dimension styles define structure and displaying of dimension objects in the document (line type, text style, dimension style). New dimensions are created using current dimension style.
  • New properties of dimension objects. Dimension objects have several new properties, for example: Text color, Underline Text, Number Scale and others.

Commands improvements

Print support improvements.

  • Paper size and orientation parameters are added to the Printer Setup dialog.
  • Print styles are added to set a width and a color of object lines for printing. With the Plot Style Table Editor it is possible to set the style parameters and save them.
  • Show print preview command shows how the document will be represented in the print output.

New image from selection command from the Insert menu was improved.

Its behavior was changed to be more efficient and adjustable to user's needs. Vast number of parameters can be set to change command's mode of operation. It is also possible to write macros which are very useful for batch rasterization when several raster images should be created.

Selection by Filter command has new dialog with additional parameters.

View and User interface improvements

Displaying.

  • Showing hatches command.
    It shows or hides hatch/fill of all the objects in the document.
  • Screen Line type option.
    It fixes size of displayed symbols, markers, hatches, line types and etc. without dependence on the document scale.

Drop-down toolbars.

  • Drop-down toolbars are implemented in the new version of WiseImage. Thus commands on the Common toolbar are combined into the folded groups.
