Consistent Software Announces WiseImage 6.0 for AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT

29 September, 2003. Lillestrøm, Norway. WiseImage 6.0 for AutoCAD — New version of one of the most powerful raster drawing editors and raster-to-vector converters for AutoCAD/AutoCAD LT on the market.

Consistent Software, the worlds leading raster-vector graphics software developer, today announced the release of WiseImage 6.0 for AutoCAD 2000/2000i/2002/2004 and AutoCAD LT 2000/2000i/2002/2004.

WiseImage 6.0 for AutoCAD solves the problem of incorporating scanned raster data into CAD environment. This is done by adding native CAD-style raster editing and raster to vector (R2V) conversion inside AutoCAD to facilitate revision creation and new drawing production. Consistent Software products have always being recognized for its intelligent CAD-style raster editing technology. WiseImage 6.0 for AutoCAD offers an updated exclusive set of enhancement tools to be applied to black/white as well as grayscale and color images. True ObjectARX technology, possibility to use AutoCAD dialogs and settings and advanced customized interface in Windows XP style make WiseImage 6.0 a natural part of AutoCAD environments.

What's new in WiseImage 6.0 for AutoCAD

Interface

    WiseImage 6.0 interface is designed in '2004' style. Windows XP styled toolbars and buttons will not affect the feeling of harmony while working in Autodesk's AutoCAD 2004.
  • From now WiseImage 6.0 for AutoCAD supports the layout style of dialog windows and tool palettes of AutoCAD 2004. It means that you now can dock the tool palettes and dialog windows on any side of your AutoCAD desktop and change its transparency.
  • New customizable current button indication feature now available in AutoCAD via WiseImage functionality - Windows-styled visibility of selected tool by pressed or released button.
  • 16-color icons and buttons are now turned to full color (24 bit). These changes are made to all buttons in all toolbars. Independent of either you are working in 'small icons' mode or in 'large icons' you will get the full color icons.
  • Multi window preview feature. Creation of multiple preview windows allows you to check out several fragments of a raster image at a time. Most of the commands designed to manage a raster image includes a built-in preview pane. Using the special button you may turn the preview pane to a free separate window. In this free condition the window allows to change it's size and position on the screen.

Calibration

  • The Calibration tool has been improved. Now data can be set through a special calibration window. It makes it possible to control the calibration procedure visually, use various master tools to ease complex calibration routines, and avoid errors.

Raster Editing Tools

  • Adaptive Binarization. Adaptive Binarization tool eases the conversion of scanned Grayscale images with difficult background. This brand new tool makes the workflow while operating with a drawings and sketches on a rough colored background (i.e. blueprints and sepias) fast and easy.
  • Color Classifier. Color Classifier allows editing of the original indexed image palette and tuning it to meet all customers' demands or corporate standards.

New Type of Rasterization

  • The new type of rasterization of vector data is added in version 6.0 of WiseImage for AutoCAD. It differs from the existing method with a higher precision and is based on the internal AutoCAD engine. A special plotter facility is added to AutoCAD printing system.
